The Need
There is a country wide educational neglect when it comes to the vital topic of agriculture. Many grow up without even knowing the irreplaceable value of farming, or it’s importance to our nation. Agricultural education should be a priority in the lives of American families.
Program Purpose
- To create partnerships between Restoration Farm and local educational groups which allow children and adults to come to the farm and learn about agriculture.
Restoration Farm has about 90 acres of beautiful country side, a flock of sheep, a herd of cattle, chickens, goats, and a large forest with five miles of walking trails. The farm provides the perfect context for learning about agriculture.
